Stop waiting for a perfect path

The best leaders I know don’t wait for the perfect path.
They create one.

They move. They improvise. They try things. They ask for help.
They get creative - not because it’s easy, but because they’re committed.

You ever met someone like that?

My mom, Kathryn, is one of those people. She got herself to the Olympics at 18 years old, she gave the Harvard graduation speech years later, and she raised 3 amazing children among other things.

I’ve seen her face situations that looked damn near impossible - and still, she found a way.
No drama. No excuses. Just quiet resolve and relentless follow-through.
It’s one of the things I admire most about her.

But this isn’t about her. It’s about you.

Are you that kind of person?

When you hit a wall, do you shut down and say, “There’s just nothing I can do”?
Or do you get curious, get scrappy, and start finding a way through?

Do you reach out to someone smarter than you?
Do you zoom out, breathe, and see what’s actually needed?
Do you focus on the possibility - or let the fear crush you?

Be honest.

Because let’s face it: sitting back and hoping someone else will figure it out?
That’s not leadership. That’s hiding.

And hiding doesn’t serve anyone - not your mission, not your people, and definitely not you.

But the decision to show up and say,
“I don’t know how yet—but I’ll find a way”?
That choice changes everything.

So no more stories.

There’s actually a lot that you can do.
That’s not optimism. That’s truth.
